ENTRY TOP TIPS

Some tips for your CRN Channel Awards Australia entries

⭐ Read the criteria

Before you start, decide which categories you’re entering and read the specific criteria. It outlines what the judges are looking for and what information to include.

⭐ Australian-centric

These awards focus on the Australian channel. Please ensure your entry reflects the Australian market and its unique dynamics.

⭐ Make it personal

Keep your writing factual and clear. Avoid corporate jargon and marketing fluff. Imagine you’re telling your story directly to the judges—make it engaging, lively, and even a bit humorous if it suits. Think about how your entry will look visually—long, dense blocks of text aren’t reader-friendly.

⭐ Don't copy and paste

We welcome PDFs and videos, but if you’re submitting text, don’t just paste a slab of corporate copy. Use spacing and formatting to make it easy to read.

⭐ Relevance is key

Make sure your entry fits the category. If you’re writing about a product, focus on its benefits to customers or partners—not just specs. Every entry should show how it adds value to the channel or end customer.

⭐ Facts and figures matter

Back up your claims with tangible evidence. Show growth, impact, and achievements. Anyone can say they’re the best—prove it.

Resellers: Explain the value you provide to end users and vendor partners. Why do they choose you?
Distributors: Highlight your value to resellers and vendors. What makes you stand out?
Vendors: Show how you support your Australian resellers and distributors. Why is the channel your preferred route to market?

⭐ Testimonials

These are MANDATORY.

Resellers: Get testimonials from customers, distributors, or vendors.
Distributors: From resellers or vendors.
Vendors: From distributors or resellers (not end users).

Keep them short, relevant, and free of marketing speak. Missing testimonials may cost you a spot on the shortlist—or even a trophy.

⭐ Less is more

Focus on one strong entry per category. Don’t submit the same entry across multiple categories—it won’t go down well with the judges.

⭐ Stick to specifications

We love PDFs and videos, but respect the word and time limits. Videos over five minutes won’t be reviewed, and long text entries may lose impact.

⭐ Appendices

Limit to one attachment per entry. Multiple attachments won’t be considered.
